Description

The Director, OHS Investigations at WorksafeBC will lead a team of 55 investigators and support staff in determining the strategic direction of the OHS Investigations department. This role involves overseeing the investigation and reporting of fatal, serious, and near miss incidents, as well as ensuring the integrity of all investigations conducted for regulatory prosecution under the Workers Compensation Act. The Director will be responsible for implementing initiatives and strategies to enhance the delivery of the division's legal investigative mandate and obligations, ensuring effective management of services.Reporting to the Vice President of Prevention Services, the Director will play a key role in promoting workplace health and safety through the strategic direction of the OHS Investigations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the delivery of investigative services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and upholding the organization's commitment to workplace safety.
