The College of Community Engagement & Professions includes the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, which consists of the Department of Social Work and the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. These departments serve a large number of undergraduate and graduate students and collaborate with numerous agencies to provide field placement opportunities. The Department of Social Work is experiencing growth and offers BSW, MSW (traditional and online), and PhD degrees. It has specialized curricula in areas such as trauma-informed care and applied gerontology, and is expanding its online and doctoral program offerings.
