Our client is looking for a Director to lead the Center for Medical Cannabis Research (CMCR). This individual will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the scientific and administrative aspects of the CMCR, working closely with various stakeholders including the Health Research Office, senior manager, steering committee, external advisory board, and key collaborators. The Director will develop and implement strategic initiatives to support cannabis-related research, bring together researchers across the state, and educate healthcare providers, lawmakers, and the public on evidence-based practices for medical cannabis.The Director will play a key role in strategic planning and execution for the CMCR, serving as a liaison for engagement with government relations staff and legislative bodies. They will lead committees focused on assessing advancements in the field, communicating research outcomes to the legislature and public, participating in appropriations request development and testimony, and ensuring alignment with H.B. 230 directives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cannabis research and a proven track record of leadership in a similar role.
