The client seeks a Director of Technology and Product Development to help build and strengthen the company’s technical capabilities and core competencies. In this senior leadership role, you will take responsibility for defining, developing, maintaining, and ensuring the efficient operation of corporate product and technology roadmap processes, as well as establishing and supervising how product development processes run day to day. You will also ensure the efficient operation of the company’s system landscape.
You will supervise and align architectural and technological development, and oversee global technology and component-level development. The role includes responsibility for cost-effective capacity planning and for monitoring progress across product development activities to support operational implementation of the client’s strategy. You will be a member of senior management, contributing to strategic direction and execution.
Key qualifications include an engineering degree (preferably in electronics) and extensive technology leadership experience, including 15+ years in technology in a manufacturing context and 10+ years managing product development processes. The client expects experience with global architecture and technology developments in an international environment, a proven track record in product planning and methodological product design processes, and leadership experience of larger teams (20+), including in the SME sector. Strong change-management and stakeholder skills are required, with proficiency in Hungarian and English; additional languages are advantageous.
