The client is seeking a Director of Technology and Product Development to help develop the organization’s technical capabilities and core competencies. In this senior leadership role, you will define, develop, maintain, and ensure the efficient operation of corporate product and technology roadmap processes, and you will establish and supervise the product development process. You will also support the effective operation of the organization’s technology systems and align architectural and technological development across global efforts.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating technological and component-level development, ensuring cost-effective capacity planning, and overseeing the efficient execution of product design and methodological processes. The role includes participation in the development and operational implementation of the organization’s strategy as a member of senior management. You will be expected to manage change with a proactive, agile mindset, providing clear direction while maintaining empathy, and balancing strategic thinking with a hands-on, decisive, results-oriented approach.
The client expects an engineering university degree (preferably electronics) and extensive technology experience, including experience in product planning and product design process methodology, with demonstrated leadership of larger teams (including experience leading teams of 20+ and potentially in SME contexts). You should have substantial experience managing product development processes and familiarity with relevant global architectural and technological developments in international high-tech or electronics manufacturing environments. Strong stakeholder management skills are required, along with proficiency in Hungarian and English (additional languages are advantageous); you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and help drive professional development within the organization.
