The client is seeking a Director of Strategic Philanthropy for the Southeast region to serve as the senior fundraising leader for a nine-state territory. This role sets the strategic vision for the region, drives fundraising efforts, and oversees regional operations to support continued growth and success. The Director will foster alignment and collaboration across the organization, strengthen the national brand, and help build a pipeline for board engagement and representation.
The Director will partner closely with an active lay leadership structure, including a Leadership Council whose members serve as ambassadors and philanthropic advocates throughout the region. The position is expected to support relationship-building across key communities within the territory and to work in partnership with staff and stakeholders to advance mission-aligned impact. The client’s work includes funding emergency vehicles, a national blood center, medical supplies, and EMT training, supporting essential operations through donor support rather than general governmental funding.
The Director must reside in one of the designated service areas (Miami, Boca Raton, or Palm Beach) and maintain strong, established community connections there. The role requires a visible, active local presence with the ability to work directly and in person with existing staff and regularly engage donors, community leaders, volunteers, and other key stakeholders across the region. Frequent in-person meetings and events are expected, with an emphasis on building and strengthening relationships within the Miami, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach communities.
