The Director of Security for our client will be responsible for leading the Parliamentary Security Department, which serves both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They will report to senior governance bodies in both Houses and will have executive responsibility for all aspects of parliamentary security. This includes managing a wide range of risks such as terrorism, hostile state activity, public order threats, and cyber risks. The Director will need to stay informed about the evolving risk landscape and implement strategies to mitigate these threats effectively.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management and a deep understanding of the complexities of protecting a high-profile institution like Parliament. They must have experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures, as well as managing security operations in a dynamic environment. The Director will need to collaborate with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure the security of Parliament is maintained at a high level.
