Our client is a luxury goods company operating in the global premium consumer sector, with high-end products distributed through selective wholesale, retail, distributor, and travel retail channels across multiple international markets. The client is seeking a Director of Sales for LATAM and Travel Retail Americas to lead commercial strategy, sales growth, and market development across Latin America and the Travel Retail Americas channel. The role focuses on driving revenue, profitability, market share, and brand expansion while ensuring consistent execution across subsidiaries, distributors, key accounts, and travel retail partners.
The Director will have full P&L responsibility for Mexico and will lead the Mexico City office, coordinating closely with regional and global leadership. Responsibilities include translating global commercial priorities into local execution, strengthening customer relationships, optimizing routes to market, and maintaining alignment with luxury brand positioning. The role will monitor market trends, customer behavior, competitive activity, and sell-in and sell-out performance, using key commercial KPIs to guide planning and decision-making.
Key duties include defining and executing the regional sales strategy, developing and optimizing go-to-market approaches across subsidiaries, distributors, key accounts, and travel retail operators, and identifying new business opportunities while improving existing partnerships. The role also includes leading commercial planning activities such as forecasting, budgeting, demand planning, and performance reporting, as well as leading, managing, and developing the regional team and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial leader with proven experience in luxury goods or similar selective distribution environments, strong knowledge of distributor management and key account development, demonstrated P&L ownership and business planning/forecasting/budgeting experience, and the ability to lead in an international matrix organization while partnering cross-functionally to deliver integrated business plans and successful product launches.
