Description

The client is seeking an engaging, hands-on leader to serve as the Director of Sales & Marketing. This key leadership role oversees all sales and marketing activities and is responsible for developing strategic initiatives to maximize revenue across group sales, events, lodging, dining, and recreation. The director will lead and inspire a high-performing team while representing the resort as a premier destination.

Responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market share; leading efforts to identify and secure group bookings for corporate events, weddings, conferences, and leisure travel; and overseeing marketing campaigns that elevate the resort brand and drive guest engagement across digital, print, and social media. The director will foster relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to support repeat business and new opportunities, analyze market trends, competition, and guest feedback to adapt strategies, and prepare and manage departmental budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and expected ROI on marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field and at least five years of experience in a sales and marketing leadership position within the hospitality or resort industry. They should demonstrate a proven track record of achieving sales targets and successfully managing marketing campaigns, along with strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with CRM software, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics tools is expected, along with a strategic, adaptable mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The role will track and report on sales performance, marketing ROI, and other KPIs, collaborating with operations to ensure a seamless guest experience aligned with marketing promises.
