the client is seeking a commercially minded, execution-focused Director of Sales & Commercial Growth to lead the national sales function. Reporting to the President, this is first and foremost a hands-on sales leadership role responsible for training, coaching, and guiding the sales team, embedding strong sales discipline, improving pipeline and account management practices, and ensuring delivery against clear revenue, margin, and growth expectations.

the Director of Sales & Commercial Growth will lead a multi-functional sales organization spanning business development, key account management, client services, and sales operations. Key responsibilities include leading and developing the national sales team; creating a culture of accountability, urgency, commercial awareness, and client focus; strengthening sales operating structure and execution through clear ownership and consistent handoffs; and improving CRM and sales operating rigor, including pipeline management, activity tracking, and reporting. The role also includes revenue and margin ownership through development and execution of a national sales strategy, support for strategic or high-value client opportunities, and establishment of strong pipeline and forecasting discipline.

the role will monitor conversion, activity, revenue, margin, client growth, and retention, and provide regular reporting and insights to the President and senior leadership. It includes strengthening account management practices through account planning, growth plans, relationship strategies, and support for retention, business reviews, and account expansion, including reactivation of dormant or underdeveloped accounts where appropriate. The Director will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Inventory to align sales commitments with operational deliverability, provide market intelligence, and ensure sales activity reflects inventory, market demand, and operational capacity.
