The client is seeking a Director of Resource Development and Engagement to expand philanthropic support and cultivate deep relationships within the Miami donor community. This role is designed for an experienced fundraiser with an established local network of donors, foundations, and business leaders, with a focus on accelerating fundraising efforts by leveraging existing relationships and building new ones.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Director will develop and implement revenue strategies across annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and planned giving. The position will also be pivotal as the client embarks on an endowment campaign aimed at supporting programs for seniors, Holocaust survivors, families in crisis, and individuals in need throughout South Florida.
The Director will contribute to best practices in moves management and lead the team through direct management and mentorship of frontline staff to improve productivity and strategic portfolio management. Responsibilities include building and managing a personal gift portfolio; identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts at all levels; and overseeing the redesign and implementation of annual solicitation plans to grow membership in client affinity groups, while advising across the full donor cycle. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with high-level donors and significant philanthropic support, exceptional communication and organization skills, and a proactive, positive leadership style; familiarity with the greater Miami-Dade donor community is desired, and fluency in Spanish is desired.
