As part of a newly merged organization, the client is seeking a Director of Property & Estates to join its senior leadership team. This strategic leadership role focuses on deepening integration and strengthening delivery to realize the full benefits of the merger, with a strong commitment to residents and communities. The Director will shape how high-quality, efficient, customer-focused property and estate services are delivered.
Reporting to the Group Executive Director of Operations, the Director of Property & Estates will have corporate responsibility for property maintenance and estates services across a portfolio of approximately 15,000 homes. The role involves leading large, operationally diverse teams and overseeing both in-house delivery and contracted services, with responsibility for consistent performance, value for money, and high standards for residents. The position will emphasize alignment between property services, asset investment, customer priorities, and community outcomes.
The client is looking for an experienced, values-driven leader who can operate confidently in a complex, changing environment and quickly take ownership of large-scale operational services. Key requirements include strong experience delivering property services at scale in social housing or another highly regulated, customer-focused context, along with clear understanding of operational risk, health and safety, and performance management.
