The client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Product to define, maintain, and create a high-standard product portfolio for both hardware and software. This leadership role focuses on bringing feasible, competitive products to market in a timely manner while meeting customer demand. Responsibilities include setting strategic goals, evaluating creative and technical ideas, prioritizing features, designing and communicating product roadmaps, and analyzing team progress to ensure execution.
The Director of Product will own the vision for the end-to-end hardware product portfolio and determine market and hardware requirements for the next generation of products. They will lead cross-disciplinary teams across product, business, design, and engineering to align priorities, ensure effective communication and escalation of risks and dependencies, and make timely decisions. The role also includes providing recommendations to senior leadership, operating effectively in ambiguity by designing or applying processes as needed, and performing roadmap scenario modeling and market analysis with tradeoffs across performance, features, cost, and time-to-market.
Working closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, finance, and business functions, the Director of Product will develop an executable hardware roadmap strategy and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support product launches and positioning. They will translate user needs into product and business requirements through market research and analysis of customer feedback, stay current on industry trends and competitor activity, and communicate relevant crypto use cases (including bitcoin) effectively within the organization. The role requires at least 4+ years of experience as a senior product executive or in a relevant position, strong people leadership, customer obsession, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proven delivery of multiple projects from conception to completion and the ability to coach and develop a high-performing team.
