the client is seeking a Director of Performance Marketing to help build and scale the company’s performance-driven growth engine for a fast-scaling, app-led consumer digital product. The role focuses on how customers discover, join, and grow, with marketing positioned as a strategic growth driver supported by investment in brand, performance, customer analytics, and marketing technology. You will join a collaborative leadership team working toward sustainable, profitable growth.
As Director of Performance Marketing, you will own the long-term performance marketing strategy for profitable new customer growth and lead channel investment across paid social, search, and app acquisition. You will build and refine measurement frameworks spanning attribution, incrementality, media mix, and unit economics, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, Customer Analytics, and CRM to optimize the full funnel from impressions through in-app activation and value. You will lead and develop the performance marketing function, including internal teams and agency partners, and embed a rigorous test-and-learn culture across channels, audiences, creative, and propositions.
Key qualifications include proven experience scaling acquisition for a consumer-focused digital business and deep hands-on knowledge of performance channels, including major paid and app acquisition platforms. The role requires a strong commercial mindset with experience managing large budgets and making performance-based investment decisions, along with advanced analytical capability for data, experimentation, and incrementality measurement. You should be comfortable partnering with customer analytics, product, and marketing technology teams, confident leading agencies and internal stakeholders with a collaborative approach, and have curiosity about using AI and advanced analytics to improve workflow efficiency and optimization. The position is expected to provide senior visibility and influence across executive and product leadership.
