This newly created role is central to aligning philanthropic resources with the mission of achieving the greatest possible reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the shortest possible time. The climate-related ambition requires fundraising at a corresponding scale, supporting efforts to deliver solutions with speed and at scale.
Reporting to the Vice President and partnering closely with senior leadership, the Director will build and lead the client’s fundraising strategy, deepen relationships with existing funding partners, and cultivate a carefully targeted network of new high-net-worth philanthropists capable of supporting transformational climate solutions. As a key strategic partner, the Director will develop and manage a pipeline of new prospects, collaborate with senior leaders to prepare for and advance donor engagement opportunities, and help craft compelling narratives and materials that clearly articulate the client’s unique value proposition within the broader climate ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building relationships with new prospects, including individuals new to philanthropy, ideally in environments focused on complex social impact or climate-related issues.
