the client is seeking a Director of Operations to join its senior management team and lead day-to-day business operations. The role will support a business that sells primarily through online channels (with a smaller portion via salons and spas), and will focus on running core operations effectively while addressing administrative needs and maintaining operational compliance. This position is expected to help shape strategic growth in collaboration with the executive team.
Key responsibilities include managing, improving, and optimizing operational practices; providing daily operations oversight; and formalizing policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations. The director will also coordinate cross-functional initiatives and projects, hire and evaluate top candidates, and measure the effectiveness of key processes across areas such as budget, operations, and management. The role includes ensuring operational compliance and addressing operational issues as they arise.
The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, driven leader with previous operations experience and strong project management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Experience related to warehouse and logistics is appreciated, given the role’s emphasis on supply-chain and fulfillment operations. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are required, and experience building or operating a startup is expected to be a plus. Previously held titles in similar scope may include supply chain and eCommerce management or integration leadership roles.
