Description

The client is seeking a Director of Operations to report directly to the Lead Executive Officer and serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. This role provides strategic oversight and operational leadership for core functions, including finance, property and development, information technology, and social enterprises, ensuring strong operational performance, financial stewardship, and risk management. The Director of Operations translates organizational strategy into practical execution by developing the systems, policies, and infrastructure needed to support service delivery and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities include leading day-to-day and long-term operational health by ensuring the right people, systems, and resources are in place to support impact-driven programs and services. The role acts as a strategic thought partner to help shape priorities, evaluate risks, and turn organizational goals into scalable operations. The Director of Operations will guide financial planning and oversight to support sustainability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public, charitable, and earned revenues, and strengthen organizational processes and infrastructure across facilities, technology, and social enterprise activities.

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, along with at least 10 years of progressive experience in financial and operational leadership, including 5 or more years in a senior leadership role. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and financial management systems is expected, along with the ability and willingness to obtain required federal clearance where applicable and access to a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
