The client is seeking a Director of Occupational Therapy Services to provide management and administrative oversight of outpatient and early intervention occupational therapy programs. The role supports and develops training initiatives to ensure occupational therapy personnel across divisions remain current with developments in the profession and relevant service trends.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable state licensure requirements, regulations, and county contractual obligations, and supporting internal and external auditing activities. The director will collaborate with health leadership and accounting to develop annual budget materials, review and approve business-related team expenses, and monitor issues that affect the revenue cycle and efficient service delivery. The role also oversees staffing patterns to meet organizational and family needs, maintains balanced caseload assignments, and supports achievement of productivity targets.
The director will evaluate programs and staff on an ongoing basis to drive continuous quality improvement, including orientation and training for new direct service staff, consistent supervision and support, documentation of supervision activities, and completion of performance appraisals per organizational guidelines. The position requires a degree in occupational therapy (a master’s or doctorate is preferred), licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania, and clearances including Act 73 FBI, Act 34 criminal clearance, and Act 33 child abuse clearance. Minimum qualifications include five years of occupational therapy experience and three years of supervisory experience, with pediatric experience and experience with diverse populations and/or people with disabilities strongly preferred.
