Description

The client is seeking a Director of Occupational Therapy Services to provide management and administrative oversight of outpatient and early intervention occupational therapy services. The role includes executing and developing training programs to keep occupational therapy personnel current with professional developments across both service divisions, while supporting high-quality, compliant care delivery.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state licensure requirements, regulations, and relevant contractual obligations, and supporting internal and external auditing activities. The director will support professional development, collaborate with health leadership and accounting to develop annual budget packages and review team-related expenses, monitor and address issues impacting the revenue cycle and efficient service delivery, and ensure staffing patterns, caseloads, and productivity targets align with organizational and family needs.

The director will evaluate programs and staff on an ongoing basis to drive continuous quality improvement, including orientation and training for new team members, supervision and consistent support for identified staff, documentation of supervision activities, and completion of performance appraisals per organizational guidelines. The role represents The client at external meetings and events, builds relationships with referral sources and other stakeholders, and supports staff development and continuing education. Qualifications include a degree in the occupational therapy field (a Master’s or Doctorate preferred), licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania, and clearances including Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, along with at least five years of occupational therapy experience and three years of supervisory experience; pediatric experience and experience with diverse populations and/or people with disabilities are preferred.
