The client is seeking an experienced Director of Mammography Operations to lead and optimize mammography department operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective management of staff and resources. The role will oversee day-to-day planning, organization, and direction of departmental activities, including setting and implementing department goals, policies, and procedures.
The Director will select, train, and supervise clinical, technical, and clerical staff, providing support to higher-level leadership as needed. Responsibilities also include assisting with the preparation and maintenance of departmental budgets, overseeing the mammography regulatory compliance program, and leading quality improvement efforts by developing and monitoring systems to enhance patient care quality.
Required qualifications include a minimum of eight years of experience in mammography procedures, with at least five years in management, along with relevant radiologic mammography and professional credentials and current CPR certification. An associate’s degree in applied sciences in radiology is required, and a master’s degree in a related field is preferred. The Director will collaborate with leadership partners, including the Medical Director of Mammography and the Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services, to achieve shared departmental objectives.
