Description

the client is seeking to hire a Director of Loan Operations to direct and monitor the overall operations of the Loan Operations and Loan Servicing departments in the Temple, TX market. This role oversees end-to-end operational performance, including change management, budgeting, staffing, vendor relationships, corrective actions, compliance requirements, risk management, and adherence to client policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include maintaining annual retention and corrective action planning to support updates and reviews of departmental procedures, resolving complex and sensitive loan operations and customer servicing issues, and preparing financial budgets while analyzing results versus plan to support compliance and achievement of financial objectives. The director ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state laws, and produces management reporting related to loan servicing, such as productivity, trend, and accounting and progress reports.

The director will also represent Loan Operations in meetings with internal stakeholders and help drive leadership execution through interviewing and hiring, setting work priorities and schedules, orienting, training, and evaluating staff, and providing ongoing recognition, mentoring, coaching, and counseling. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and broad banking experience, with management experience in loan operations; strong communication, leadership, organizational and project management skills, comfort with metrics and critical deadlines, and thorough knowledge of regulatory and documentation expectations for consumer and commercial loan processing and reporting are expected. Proficiency with common office productivity tools and the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment are also required.
