Description

The client is seeking a business-minded Director of IT Operations to own and advance the organization’s technology function as it expands across multiple locations. This is a highly visible leadership role focused on building rather than only maintaining, with responsibility for shaping technology strategy, strengthening core infrastructure, and supporting growth through scalable processes and an internal IT team. The role will also provide leadership for technology initiatives tied to a significant new production facility.

Key responsibilities include setting the technology roadmap across corporate and production environments, translating business priorities into infrastructure plans, budgets, risk assessments, and implementation strategies. The director will lead core infrastructure areas such as networks, servers, endpoints, identity and access, backup and recovery, security controls, and business applications, and will own the technology workstream for a major site build that may include network and wireless design, equipment connectivity, security planning, vendor selection, budgeting, and deployment. The role will partner with finance, operations, engineering, supply chain, and plant leadership to ensure technology supports production and growth requirements, while overseeing ERP and enterprise applications in collaboration with application specialists and external resources.

The director will manage technology vendors, licensing, procurement, support partners, contractors, and project resources, emphasizing performance and accountability. The position also involves building and developing an internal technology team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and delegation, and establishing scalable policies, documentation, operating standards, access controls, and service processes in coordination with broader enterprise technology partners. Required qualifications include progressive infrastructure and enterprise systems experience, business-minded leadership skills, strong communication with executives and technical and operational stakeholders, and experience expanding infrastructure across multiple sites; ERP/business systems oversight experience is expected, and manufacturing/industrial environment experience and experience supporting new facility buildouts are preferred. The role is on-site in North Fort Worth, TX, with flexibility to travel as business needs require.
