The client is seeking a Director of Industry Relations to manage supplier partner relationships and the associated revenue streams. This role focuses on cultivating strategic partnerships that drive growth and create value for both the client and its suppliers. The director will oversee supplier programs and initiatives from development through execution, ensuring commercial alignment and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with preferred travel supplier partners, identifying and securing new supplier partnerships, and leading onboarding and integration. The director will develop and launch new supplier programs that clearly communicate value, opportunities, and return on investment, and will collaborate with internal teams to support successful supplier events and program engagement. This role also includes managing supplier business reviews, optimizing program metrics, and representing the client at industry events and conferences.
The ideal candidate will have experience in travel partner relations or business development, with a background in strategic account management for cruise lines being preferred. Requirements include a minimum of five years managing supplier relationships in the travel industry, proven leadership in developing high-performing teams, strong negotiation skills for high-value commercial partnerships, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. The director should also be analytical and data-driven with strong business acumen, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability for a fast-paced environment, with the ability to potentially take on higher responsibilities.
