The RHS is looking for a Director of Horticulture to oversee horticulture on a national level and implement the organization's Strategy to 2030. This individual will be responsible for setting the overall vision for RHS Gardens, living collections, and horticultural standards, while promoting sustainability, climate resilience, biodiversity, plant health, and biosecurity. The Director will also serve as the primary horticultural representative with government officials, industry leaders, funders, media outlets, educational partners, and international networks. Additionally, as a member of the Leadership Team, they will play a role in governance, strategic initiatives, investment decisions, fundraising efforts, and advocacy.The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in horticulture and a passion for promoting sustainability and biodiversity. They should possess excellent communication skills and be able to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and the media. The Director of Horticulture will also be responsible for contributing to strategic projects, making investment decisions, and participating in fundraising efforts to support the organization's mission and goals.
