Seeking a Director of Grantmaking and Feminist Partnerships to join their Senior Management Team during a strategic transformation. The client works with women's rights movements and organizations in Africa and Asia to ensure women's voices are heard, their rights are realized, and their lives are free from violence. The ideal candidate will be a bold, strategic, and values-driven feminist leader with experience working in partnership with women's rights organizations and feminist movements. They will champion transformative change, challenge traditional models of power in development and philanthropy, and lead the organization in achieving its Feminist Future Strategy.
The Director will play a key role in driving the strategic direction of the organization, contributing to whole-organization leadership, strategic decision-making, and culture-building. They will lead the implementation of the client's Feminist Future Strategy, ensuring that grantmaking, partnerships, and learning activities align with the organization's vision and goals. The ideal candidate will model feminist leadership, promote collective care, wellbeing, and anti-racism practices, and contribute to organizational sustainability and innovation. They will also be responsible for managing the annual budget, overseeing team expenditures, and reporting on performance to the Board of Trustees.
In addition to providing strategic leadership, the Director will lead the client's feminist partnership approach with women's rights organizations and feminist movements. They will champion decolonial, trust-based grant-making practices that enable flexible, responsive, and sustainable funding. The ideal candidate will oversee the design and implementation of programs that support women's rights organizations and movements, ensuring that partnerships are grounded in mutual respect, solidarity, and shared power.
