Description

the client is seeking a senior commercial leader to act as a sales force multiplier for origin companies, expanding reach into underdeveloped or underexploited markets where they lack scale or presence. The role emphasizes building strong alignment with origin companies so the client consistently adds clear, measurable value, including a model where origin companies route business through the team rather than proceeding direct.

Key responsibilities include managing and expanding the global sales team, recruiting and deploying additional commercial personnel to cover priority markets, and placing dedicated sales resources into origin company domestic markets to develop internal commercial capability. The role will also advance sales of seafood products from origin companies into markets without the client’s commercial offices, supporting adjacent incremental growth while ensuring effective, value-driven commercialization.

The position includes product sourcing and portfolio expansion through securing additional supply, building and managing reliable international supplier networks, and developing new trading flows using group-owned trading entities. The successful candidate will manage supplier negotiations and risks, oversee the full trading cycle from sourcing through logistics coordination and commercialization, monitor trading performance across volumes, margins, and working capital, and provide market intelligence and execution within category-defined pricing and margin frameworks, along with ensuring compliance with internal policies and international regulations.
