The client seeks a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis across budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. The role will manage annual budgeting, monthly closings, and quarterly reforecasting, with responsibility for analyzing margin and contribution by channel and product, monitoring inventory financial performance, and supporting operational efficiency through Opex management. It will also oversee Capex evaluation and investment profitability, control departmental financial activities, and translate strategic plans into practical budgets and action plans.
Key responsibilities include providing variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities, defining and monitoring KPIs for financial and operational performance, and challenging assumptions to deliver strategic insights to senior leadership. The role will optimize ERP setup to improve data quality and process efficiency, lead continuous improvement initiatives, assist with policy and procedure establishment, and ensure compliance with accounting and financial controls, including authority levels. It will additionally participate in strategic and tactical business initiatives and strengthen cross-functional partnerships.
The position will lead and develop a small FP&A team of managers, fostering a growth mindset and continuous improvement culture while supporting talent development and succession planning. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (with an MBA preferred) and proven experience in Director-level FP&A or a similar role, ideally within luxury or consumer goods contexts. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling skills are required, along with proficiency in financial reporting tools and excellent communication and presentation abilities. Preferred qualities include being business-driven and proactive, solution-oriented, and demonstrating change management capability.
