The client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead and manage the hotel’s Food & Beverage department. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the dining experience, from concept development through execution, ensuring exceptional service and high-quality cuisine across the property’s dining outlets. The position is focused on maintaining an elegant guest experience while delivering consistent culinary excellence.
You will develop and implement innovative food and beverage concepts tailored to guests, oversee operations for restaurants, bars, in-room dining, catering, and special events, and uphold the highest standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency. You will manage and develop a cohesive team through training, coaching, and mentoring; collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal, locally sourced menus; monitor and control costs to maximize profitability; and implement strategies to drive revenue and improve guest satisfaction. You will also collaborate with other department leaders to support a seamless overall guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a passionate food and beverage professional with extensive knowledge of culinary and hospitality operations, along with a proven record of success managing high-end dining establishments and demonstrating strong leadership and attention to detail. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of progressive food and beverage management experience, preferably in luxury hotels or fine dining settings. You should have extensive knowledge of food and beverage trends as well as wine and spirits, the ability to manage budgets and drive revenue, and certification in food safety and sanitation with responsible alcohol service; flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, is also expected.
