The client is recruiting for a Director of Fine Jewelry and Timepieces to lead the development of a new Luxury Watches & Jewelry division focused on evaluating and reselling luxury watches and jewelry. This role will structure the division’s operating model, including setting up processes informed by existing practices from the organization’s fashion and accessories area.
The Director will oversee the growth and performance of procurement, authentication, and related bench/jewelry functions, including directing existing and future teams. Responsibilities also include recruiting and building expert talent, creating readiness for category expansion through training programs with an emphasis on product knowledge and authentication, and driving operational efficiencies through strong planning and organization.
The ideal candidate will have business-oriented experience in pre-owned luxury goods, with a good understanding of key industry success drivers, and experience that includes watches and/or fine jewelry. Qualifications include an equivalent BA/BS and at least 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pre-owned luxury goods or resale space, along with strong ability to lead, negotiate, influence cross-functional partners, and network strategically to support inventory goals.
