The client is hiring a Director of Financial Reporting to join its high-performing Group Finance team. This is a senior leadership role with global exposure, including direct interaction with executive leadership and responsibility for delivering high-quality financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will lead the Group’s financial reporting function, ensuring timely, accurate delivery and helping shape reporting processes, controls, and strategic initiatives across the business.
Key responsibilities include leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements for annual and interim reporting, overseeing external disclosures and regulatory reporting aligned to UK and US requirements, and managing the monthly close and management reporting process in close partnership with FP&A. You will ensure robust internal controls and SOX compliance across the reporting cycle, act as a key contact for external auditors by managing interim and year-end audits, and provide reporting and insights to senior stakeholders, including the Audit Committee and CF O. You will also drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems, and governance, and support accounting treatment for complex transactions such as M&A and restructurings.
The client is seeking a qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), with a background at a major global accounting firm strongly preferred. You will typically have proven experience in a large listed or multinational environment, strong technical expertise in IFRS and group consolidation, and exposure to US reporting frameworks is advantageous. You should have strong understanding of SOX and financial controls frameworks, demonstrated ability to operate effectively at CFO and Board/Audit Committee level, excellent communication skills to translate complex accounting issues into clear business insights, and a proactive, high-integrity leadership approach that thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.
