The client is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The Director of Finance will collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer, senior leadership, and partners in Human Resources and Information Technology to support effective coordination across finance, HR, and IT functions. This role provides critical leadership for ensuring financial operations align with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include overseeing accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to support compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and serving as the accounting liaison with IT for financial software systems. The Director of Finance will supervise accounting and payroll functions, manage month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency, and review financial reporting packages to present results and recommendations to leadership. The role also includes monitoring organizational cash flow and forecasting, developing and implementing finance department policies and internal controls, supporting budgets and grant financial narratives, coordinating annual audit and tax reporting schedules, and educating program staff on finance and accounting procedures to strengthen ongoing program operations.
Qualifications include proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with electronic health record and billing systems, as well as knowledge of insurance practices and CPT codes. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and two or more years of relevant experience in a medical or health care setting, along with a valid driver’s license. The Director of Finance is expected to attend required trainings, record time and attendance through HR systems, model the organization’s mission and values, and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, internal controls, and confidentiality requirements.
