Act as a strategic partner to the CFO for a company experiencing rapid growth. This Director of Finance role will support critical initiatives through financial analysis and business model development, with a focus on driving profitability and evaluating performance across customer, channel, and program areas. You will also assess the impact of off-price channels, marketplace sales, and promotional strategies to inform decision-making.
Lead and develop the finance team to equip them for evolving business needs, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close activities across divisions and channels such as wholesale and DTC. Manage working capital and cash planning with an emphasis on optimizing inventory levels, improving trade payables efficiency, and maintaining liquidity to support growth. Oversee royalty calculations, accruals, payments, and reporting related to licensing agreements, and partner with operations to manage inventory levels, reserves, and obsolescence.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, while coordinating external audits covering financial, banking, and regulatory reviews. Monitor tax compliance to support accurate filings and timely payments. Ideal candidates will have a strong accounting and finance background, particularly in apparel, proficiency with inventory, AR, chargebacks, and insurance, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven leadership experience, and clear communication and presentation abilities for stakeholder engagement.
