The client is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its finance function in a direct-hire, on-site leadership role. The successful candidate will partner with leaders who bring deep expertise to their areas and is expected to provide strategic and operational financial leadership to support the organization’s long-term stability and performance.
Responsibilities include leading financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, and compliance; partnering with operations to drive profitability, improve working capital, and enable better decision-making through actionable financial insights; overseeing month-end and year-end close to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting; and directing cost accounting, inventory accounting, and product costing to strengthen margin reporting and operational visibility. The role also includes managing relationships with external partners such as banks, auditors, and advisors, while supporting risk management and internal controls.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with CPA and/or MBA preferred. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with senior-level responsibility for a team, along with strong manufacturing finance experience covering cost accounting, inventory, and variance analysis. Experience using ERP and other financial systems to improve reporting, controls, and process efficiency is expected, with ERP implementation experience a plus. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
