The client is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The role will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer, senior leadership, and the Human Resources and Information Technology functions to support coordination across finance, HR, and IT.
Key responsibilities include overseeing accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, and serving as an accounting liaison with IT for financial software systems. The Director of Finance will provide direct staff supervision (including functional responsibility for the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable excluding insurance billings, payroll, and grants/contract administration), lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, review financial reporting packages, and present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership. Additional duties include monitoring cash flow and forecasts, developing and implementing finance policies and internal controls, facilitating budgeting and forecasting, supporting grant-related budgeting and financial narratives to secure funding, coordinating annual audit and tax reporting requirements, and partnering with program staff to educate them on financial and accounting procedures.
The role is expected to record time and attendance through the relevant HR system, attend meetings and training as requested or required, and model the organization’s mission and values while performing other assigned duties. Qualifications include proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with electronic health record and billing systems, along with knowledge of insurance and CPT codes; a high school diploma or GED and two or more years of relevant experience in a medical or health care setting are required. A valid driver’s license is required, and all required training will be provided upon hire by the client or an approved provider. The Director of Finance must adhere to applicable laws and internal control policies, including maintaining client confidentiality.
