The client is entering a new phase guided by its strategic plan and is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its College Leadership Team. This role will support the client’s long-term financial sustainability and success, working within a values-driven organisation focused on changing lives through education and skills. The Director of Finance will provide both strategic and operational leadership across core finance activities, contributing to effective decision-making at all levels.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance will lead a high-performing finance team and oversee financial and management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, payroll and pensions, treasury, and financial governance. As a senior leader, the role includes overseeing statutory accounts, external audit, regulatory and funding returns, and maintaining robust financial controls to ensure full compliance with sector and statutory requirements. The position will also require close collaboration with executive colleagues, governing stakeholders, and budget holders to promote strong financial stewardship, value for money, and clear accountability.
The client is looking for a senior finance professional with significant leadership experience in a complex, regulated environment, strong technical expertise, and the credibility to operate at executive and board level.
