The client is seeking a Director of Finance & Audit to provide Board-level oversight of financial governance, controls, and sustainability. This role will support the Board in maintaining financial integrity and supporting long-term viability through informed guidance on financial matters and risks.
Key responsibilities include overseeing financial governance, control systems, and reporting; reviewing budgets, financial statements, and cash flow; supporting audit readiness and financial compliance; and advising the Board on financial risks and their implications. The Director of Finance & Audit will engage with the Finance & Audit Committee in an oversight capacity to help ensure strong financial stewardship.
The role is suited to a professional background in finance, accounting, or senior financial management, along with an understanding of financial governance and risk. Prior Board or committee experience is desirable. The time commitment includes four hybrid Board meetings per year, with occasional committee engagement, and directors may be based in Ireland or internationally to accommodate time zones and participation across locations.
