the client is seeking an experienced Director of Finance & Accounting to lead all financial operations for a large, full-service property within a global hospitality setting. The role focuses on building and developing a high-performing finance function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of financial information and assets. You will serve as a key point of contact for owners and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities include providing strategic financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support profitability and long-term financial performance. You will develop, manage, and present annual operating budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, while overseeing core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, payroll, purchasing, audit, and financial reporting. The position also requires establishing strong financial controls, ethical accounting practices, and compliance with company policies and applicable local regulations.
The successful applicant will partner with general management and department heads on pricing strategy, cost controls, capital expenditure, and investment decisions. You will lead, coach, and develop the finance team, manage cash flow and inventory controls, and optimize liquidity through effective credit policies and collections. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, significant experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least one year in a senior or supervisory finance role, strong hospitality finance and budgeting/forecasting knowledge, and professional certification preferred; relocation within Asia may be required.
