The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant facility operations. This includes directing preventive maintenance and repair of all facility and clinical equipment, as well as central plant operations, building management systems, and life safety systems. The role involves minimizing operational downtime through timely response to service requests and proactive maintenance planning, in order to support a safe, high-quality healing environment.Another key aspect of the position is maintaining full compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including The Joint Commission and all applicable federal, state, and local standards related to safety, infection prevention, fire protection, inspections, and maintenance management. The Director of Facilities also manages facility-related projects such as infrastructure upgrades, office moves, and departmental relocations, while playing a key leadership role in ensuring the long-term reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence of the organization's physical environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is crucial in maintaining the overall functionality and safety of the facilities.
