Our client is looking for a Director of Energy and Resources to lead their strategy and regulation in key sectors such as energy, waste, resources, chemicals, and manufacturing. This role is crucial for the UK's goals of achieving net zero emissions, sustainable growth, and industrial resilience. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 260 staff and manage a budget of approximately 36 million, as well as regulatory income of 122 million. They will work closely with government departments and industry leaders to shape and deliver regulatory strategies that protect the environment while promoting innovation, clean energy, and growth.The Director of Energy and Resources will provide strategic leadership, policy influence, and delivery oversight in order to advise the Executive Directors Team and Board on risks, opportunities, and long-term direction in these sectors. They will ensure that our client's regulatory regimes remain world-leading, proportionate, and forward-looking. This is a pivotal and outward-facing role that requires a strong leader who can drive positive change and contribute to the UK's environmental and economic goals.
