Description

The client seeks a Director of Development Marketing to lead the creation and execution of marketing and communications strategies that support its philanthropic goals. In this role, you will craft donor-facing narratives, produce key development publications, and design digital and campaign strategies to inspire philanthropic engagement. Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropic Engagement, you will serve as the primary marketing resource for the development team and collaborate closely with colleagues across locations while coordinating with the organization’s broader marketing and communications team to maintain brand alignment.

This is a newly created position intended to meet growing development-focused communications and marketing needs. As The client expands its individual giving efforts and related donor communities, and grows regional presence across multiple geographic areas, there is a need for a professional who can combine strategic vision with executional excellence. The Director will play a central role in communicating the organization’s impact through annual and impact reporting, donor communications, digital fundraising campaigns, and other strategic promotional collateral.

Key responsibilities include leading the development and production of The client’s Annual Report by gathering information and stories from internal program teams to clearly communicate work, reach, and impact. You will also create donor-focused impact reporting and develop a range of donor-facing materials such as campaign collateral, case statements, presentations, event invitations, and stewardship pieces. Working with development staff and other internal teams, you will support promotional messaging for new initiatives and fundraising efforts, assist with drafting and review of donor proposals as needed in collaboration with relevant teams, and ensure consistent branding, language, and messaging across all regional communications while remaining highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to pivot quickly to shifting priorities.
