the client is seeking a highly organized, energetic, mission-driven Director of Development and Donor Relations to sustain and enhance its services and impact. The Director will develop and manage all aspects of fundraising to support its members and the early childhood profession, with an emphasis on growing philanthropic revenue through foundations, corporations, individuals, and other entities.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director will collaborate closely with the Executive and Leadership Team and key volunteers, including the governing board, to align development efforts with organizational priorities. Responsibilities include creating and implementing a comprehensive development plan that meets annual revenue goals, fostering and maintaining strategic partnerships, and cultivating a diverse donor pipeline.
The role will execute fundraising strategies and initiatives such as major gifts, grant solicitation, planned giving, fundraising campaigns, and special events to increase revenue of at least $3 million annually. The Director is expected to understand and translate the organization’s strategic direction into actionable fundraising priorities and to work with others to position philanthropic efforts for sustained growth.
