The Director of Development at the Air Zoo is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing fundraising and membership efforts to support the client's mission and financial goals. This individual leads a team of four and is focused on cultivating major gifts, annual giving, sponsorships, grants, and special initiatives. They work closely with the Development team to engage donors, design fundraising campaigns, and ensure successful events and initiatives.
In addition to managing fundraising strategies, the Director of Development plays a key role in identifying and soliciting major donors and corporate sponsors. They focus on building relationships with donors, connecting them to the client's mission, vision, and impact. This individual also leads the planning and implementation of a $40M capital campaign aimed at enhancing visitor experiences through campus expansions and improvements.
The Director of Development works closely with the Board of Directors and leadership to align campaign messaging with organizational priorities and track progress towards fundraising goals. They serve as a public-facing representative of the Air Zoo, fostering strategic relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to support the client's long-term success.
