Description

The client is seeking a Campus Director of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI) to lead coaching for teachers at a school site and to manage staff in pursuit of excellent academic outcomes for all students. The DCI will partner with the school leadership team to support school results while modeling professional maturity and emotional steadiness in high-pressure situations. This role will typically coach and manage approximately 12–15 teachers, with campus needs potentially affecting the final scope.

The client will lead curriculum planning by supporting teachers in year-long course preparation through pacing calendars, unit plans, and daily lesson materials aligned to college readiness expectations, research-based instructional practices, and benchmark assessment. The DCI will develop teachers to implement the curriculum effectively through consistent coaching, including lesson internalization coaching meetings, practice clinics, and real-time coaching that strengthen daily instructional practice. The role also includes regularly observing and evaluating classroom practice at least weekly using defined teaching rubrics, leveraging centralized coaching tools to track coaching activities, observations, and action steps.

The client will oversee assessment and data practices by creating, maintaining, and updating academic and assessment records and leading execution of the school’s assessment program, including testing schedules, staff training, and compliance with applicable requirements. The DCI will develop teachers in using assessment data for analysis and action planning, monitor overall school data and progress toward goals, and guide school and staff decisions informed by data. Additional responsibilities may include leading professional learning vision and professional development activities, managing staff meetings and professional learning days, building relationships to strengthen school culture and results, supporting department outcomes, recruiting and hiring faculty, engaging prospective families for student enrollment, and collaborating with central office teams on network-wide standards and professional development.
