The Director of Counseling Services is a key leadership position within Student Health & Counseling Services, reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Health and Wellness. This role involves overseeing and managing mental health programs for a diverse student body, providing strategic vision for service improvements, and implementing best practices. The Director will also offer mental health consultation to faculty, staff, and campus organizations, as well as serve on the SHCS Executive Team to contribute to policy and decision-making processes. As a member of the Executive Team, the Director will play a crucial role in setting strategic direction for the division and providing a mental health perspective on policies and decisions. This position requires a solution-oriented approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with other leaders within the Student Affairs division and the university as a whole. The Director of Counseling Services will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, student-focused mental health services that meet the needs of a diverse student population and reflect emerging trends in the field.
