Description

The client is seeking a Director of Corporate Philanthropy & Partnerships to oversee, plan, and execute engagement strategies that generate philanthropic gifts, corporate sponsorships, employee giving initiatives, and community fundraising. The role is part of a national team and will maintain an assigned partner portfolio, focusing on corporate and business-sector partners through in-person meetings and presentations to current and prospective partners. The position supports a mission to improve access to safe surgical care and comprehensive support for patients with cleft lip and palate across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing a corporate and community giving strategy to attract and retain partners, and supervising the Community Engagement Specialist while leading corporate and community giving fundraising channels and campaigns in collaboration with colleagues across the organization. The Director will help develop annual goals tied to fundraising and engagement metrics, build relationships with an assigned portfolio to secure gifts in support of programs, and generate new leads by cultivating relationships and assessing alignment between the organization’s mission and partners’ business and social responsibility objectives.

The Director will administer and steward gifts according to donor preferences, including creating partnership agreements, stewardship plans, and customized reporting, and will ensure accurate, timely updates to the donor database. They will partner with the Brand and Communications team to support funding opportunities, benefits structures, and the delivery of sponsorship benefits, and collaborate with global teams to identify opportunities to expand multinational corporate partnerships into Canada. The role requires strong communication and listening skills, creativity in developing donor strategies, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight timelines, and a results-oriented, continuous-improvement mindset, including the ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners remotely across time zones.
