Description

The client is seeking a director to lead corporate partnerships and fundraising events that advance its mission and contributed revenue goals. Reporting to the executive director and working closely with advancement colleagues, this role develops strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners while overseeing the planning and execution of signature fundraising events. The position focuses on building meaningful relationships with corporate supporters and ensuring a high-quality experience for sponsors, donors, guests, and community partners.

the director will collaborate with internal leadership to develop and execute corporate partnership and event fundraising strategies aligned with organizational priorities and revenue goals. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of corporate prospects through research, outreach, relationship development, proposal creation, solicitation, and stewardship; developing sponsorship packages and customized partnership opportunities; and managing the full lifecycle of partnerships from prospect identification through agreements, benefit fulfillment, recognition, renewal, and ongoing stewardship. The director will also serve as the primary liaison for corporate sponsors, establishing systems to support relationship management, sponsorship tracking, and reporting.

the role further includes planning, coordinating, and executing signature fundraising events such as an annual gala, as well as serving as the primary staff liaison for other fundraising events (including exhibit openings and cultivation/stewardship events). This includes managing timelines, communications, logistics, vendor relationships, and overall event execution, and partnering with the executive director, board members, event committees, and event chairs to achieve fundraising outcomes. The director supervises volunteers, interns, and event support staff as assigned, and is expected to manage event budgets, monitor expenses, evaluate results, and analyze revenue, participation, and return.
