The Director of Continuing Education and Development (DCED) at Radford University reports to the Vice President of Economic Development and Corporate Education and is responsible for overseeing non-degree educational programs for adult learners and professionals. The focus of these programs is on healthcare, education, and technology, and the DCED collaborates with faculty, industry partners, and community organizations to identify workforce needs and design programs to support career advancement and economic development. Working with the entire Economic Development and Corporate Education team, the DCED develops, markets, and manages non-degree programs such as professional certificates, workforce training, online courses, and community educational offerings to meet divisional goals.The DCED plays a key role in developing and implementing educational programs that cater to adult learners and professionals looking to enhance their skills or pursue new career opportunities. By working closely with faculty and industry partners, the DCED ensures that the programs offered align with emerging workforce needs and support career advancement. The DCED also collaborates with community organizations to design programs that contribute to economic development and meet the needs of the local workforce.
