The client is hiring a Director to join a remote-first media and communications strategy team. This is a senior, high-ownership role focused on communications, media relations, and public affairs across a wide range of client types and sectors. The director will be a highly skilled, creative writer who can produce materials such as press releases and long-form thought leadership with confidence and precision.
The role will involve developing and executing strategic communications and public affairs plans, building a deep understanding of each client’s business, products or services, competitors, influencers, and markets, and serving as the day-to-day lead for multiple accounts and relationships. The director will provide strategic counsel and messaging guidance for national and regional audiences, pitch and secure impactful media coverage, and draft, review, and approve a broad range of communications materials including press releases, pitches, statements, articles, newsletters, talking points, and presentations. Excellent client service and strong relationship management are core expectations.
