The client is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health & Clinical Services with LCSW credentials to provide strategic leadership for behavioral health services supporting youth and families. This role will help shape trauma-informed care and oversee clinical services delivered through foster care, preventive, quality improvement, and related programs in community settings across New York State, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality care and improving client outcomes.
As a key leader within the behavioral health program, you will define and lead the program’s vision and strategy, drive program development, and oversee utilization and productivity to ensure effective resource use and positive outcomes. You will monitor service delivery for clinical excellence and compliance with applicable regulations and agency policies, and implement initiatives to improve outcomes and strengthen consistency of services across programs.
The position requires at least an LCSW and experience working with children and families, including supervisory or management experience. You will demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, and be able to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders while maintaining a demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. You will directly supervise a team of assistant directors and provide ongoing mentorship and professional development, while also collaborating on training and education efforts and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen program impact.
