Description

The client seeks a Director of Branding & Marketing to lead branding and marketing efforts for a makeup and skincare brand focused on ethnic skin colors. In this role, you will direct brand marketing and service activities across customers and prospects, develop and maintain a consistent brand message and voice across communication channels, and collaborate closely with sales teams to support existing and potential retail customers within a competitive retail environment.

You will drive brand growth across all channels of trade, with success measured by sales growth, share gains, and distribution expansion. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic retail plans, jointly building and managing the marketing plan with marketing leadership, leading quarterly and annual planning for sales, margins, products, promotions, advertising, and communications, and managing marketing staff and external representatives to support product introductions, promotions, forecasting, and inventory management.

The position also emphasizes creative and commercial execution, including guiding creative for brochures, internet, and marketing collateral; developing retailer campaigns to optimize product flow and mix, pricing, and promotion; analyzing categories and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities; planning and executing incentives; supporting campaign reviews; and partnering with merchandising and trade marketing on planogram assortments. You will manage brand performance through planning and execution of business initiatives across product categories, collaborate with finance on brand P&L and marketing budgets, lead new projects as needed, and demonstrate strong leadership, detail orientation, and a passion for owning and championing the brand. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, at least six years of relevant work experience, and prior experience in color cosmetics is required.
